Lucrarea înfățișează o casă tipic bucureșteană, cu accente de arhitectură clasică. Construită doar dintr-un etaj, aceasta este așezată la stradă, iar poziționarea a determinat transformarea ei într-o plăcintărie, după cum indică firma de deasupra ferestrelor. Acoperișul este populat de coșurile sobelor. Pe fundal, se distinge calcanul unei alte clădirii și turla vestică a unei biserici, probabil Sfântul Gheorghe Nou. Strada cotește prin dreapta clădirii, introducând în compoziției alte construcții transformate în mici întreprinderi comerciale. Lucrarea surprinde două caracteristici esențiale ale construcțiilor bucureștene: casele lungi, tip vagon, care se desfășoară în adâncimea terenului, numite și case „șoldance” și proprietățile cu două valențe, comercială și de locuință privată.

The work depicts a typical Bucharest house with classical architectural accents. Built with only one floor, it is positioned along the street, transformed into a pie shop, as indicated by the sign above the windows. The roof is populated with chimney stacks. In the background, the wall of another building and the western spire of a church, probably Sfântul Gheorghe Nou (New St. George Church), are visible. The street curves to the right of the building, introducing other constructions turned into small commercial enterprises into the composition. The work captures two essential characteristics of Bucharest constructions: the long, wagon-type houses that extend to the back of the property, also known as “șoldance” houses, and properties with dual functions, both commercial and private (residential).
