Pictura înfățișează strada Halelor, pe cheiul Dâmboviței, în zona Pieței Unirii. În prim-plan, apar vânzătorii și tarabelele lor, într-o compoziție animată de multe personaje. Strada desparte zona de vânzare ambulantă de clădirile elegante cu magazine la parter. Construcțiile eclectice se înalță pe fundal, zvelte și luminoase. În partea dreaptă, se înalță un bloc modernist situat pe strada Colței care se poate observa datorită orientării perspectivei picturale. Cromatica lucrării alternează între tonuri deschise precum crem, brun, albastru și cele puternice de negru, bleumarin, roșu, verde. Lucrarea este semnată și datată în stânga, în plin câmp compozițional: „C. Vintilescu / București / 1935”.

The painting depicts Halelor Street, on the Dâmbovița Quay, in the Piața Unirii area. In the foreground are vendors and their stalls, in a composition animated by many characters. The street separates the street vendors’ area from the elegant buildings with shops on the ground floor. The eclectic constructions rise in the background, slender and bright. On the right stands a modernist block located on Colței Street, visible due to the orientation of the pictorial perspective. The color scheme alternates between light tones such as cream, brown, blue, and strong ones like black, navy blue, red, and green. The work is signed and dated on the left, within the composition: “C. Vintilescu / Bucharest / 1935.”
