Autorul ne dezvăluie o perspectivă asupra Pieței Unirii dinspre cheiul Dâmboviței către biserica Patriarhiei. Edificiul se profilează pe fundal, mai sus, sugerând poziționarea pe deal. Iar între această reprezentare și prim-planul compoziției apare o zonă de trecere formată din copacii, indicând parcul de la poalele dealului. Compoziția se deschide cu zona de hale și tarabe, unde și-au găsit loc tocilari și vânzători ambulanți, alături de două chivuțe. Animația este sugerată de grupuri de personaje răsfirate. Lucrarea este semnată și datată în dreapta jos, sub cuvetă: „A. Poitevin-Skeletti / 1922”.

The author reveals a perspective of Piața Unirii from Dâmbovița Quay towards the Patriarchal Church. The edifice is profiled in the background, higher up, suggesting its positioning on a hill. Between this depiction and the foreground, there is a transitional area formed by trees, indicating the park at the foot of the hill. The composition opens with a market area of halls and stalls, where knife sharpeners and street vendors had found their place, alongside two washerwomen. The animation is suggested by scattered groups of people. The work is signed and dated at the bottom right, below the plate: “A. Poitevin-Skeletti / 1922”.
